Ronnie had an incredible tournament in Dubai, giving everything he could on the field. Not only is he absolutely rapid (See stats below) and has some great feet (Video to follow) but he also has a serious engine, being on the field for all but 2 minutes of the entire tournament. We do not usually have players on the field for such lengths in such a brutal format of the game but Ronnie showed time and time again what a professional he is in how he prepared for this tournament and what he did off the field in Dubai to be ready for each game.

We had been following Ronnie’s career for a while before he first joined us earlier this year. He slotted into the Wild Dogs culture and thrived in our style of play putting his hand up for Dubai selection.

Ronnie is an athlete and a super competitive player who is currently playing 15s as a centre and wing for Nottingham Trent University. In 7s he plays in the forwards, where he keeps the opposition on their toes with his speed, size & great feet. He is no stranger to the 7s scene having played at the highest level representing England at Rugby X, Chester 7s and Oktoberfest 7s. He was named in the squad to compete at the LA and Vancouver legs of the 7s series but Covid hit, which unfortunately seems to have stopped his growth within the national squad. We believe that Ronnie should be getting a look in for the now combined GB setup and hopefully he gets that opportunity in 2023.

But for now Ronnie is laying down the foundations for his rugby future and is a player to keep an eye on in both 15s and 7s.
