The Wild Dogs are a rugby family, who want to spread their love of the game in competitions that fans love whilst building a global community driven by family, sportsmanship, team work, culture and enjoyment both on and off the rugby field. We have representation from over 20 countries including many players from the home nations, but have strong traditions and roots stemming from Southern Africa. We are a distinctive team, easily recognisable by our signature Ndebele patterned kit, who are known for a dogged yet skilful and entertaining brand of rugby..

Our journey began in 2017 when we were invited by the European Beach Rugby Association (EBRA) to represent South Africa in the final leg of the European Beach Rugby Series in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy.  Our first season together was a great success both on and off the sand, winning 12 out of 15 matches and earning the support of thousands of spectators. The popularity of the Wild Dogs on the circuit saw us invited back to compete in the 2018 series where we took part in three out of the six legs. The UK, France & Italy respectively. We managed two podium finishes which ultimately saw us claim 5th place overall out of the 49 teams that took part. We chose to build on our success by  expanding our tournament fixtures over the following years to include more formats  of the game namely 7s & 10s Rugby. Today we compete all over the world at  multiple levels ranging from Vets rugby  to Social, Open & Elite.
